Albion - Mark D. Stroup, age 46, of Albion, died on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 12:00 pm at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born on September 27, 1963 in Fort Wayne, and was the son of Walther E. and Judith (Hawk) Stroup. He spent his lifetime in the Noble County area.
Mr. Stroup was a supervisor at D-C Telecom. He was a member of the Wolf Lake Gun Club and American Legion Post 381 Sons of the American Legion.
He was a workaholic, but also enjoyed many hobbies such as golfing, hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was a member of the Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church in Kendallville.
Survivng are his parents, Walther and Judith Stroup of Albion. A sister and brother in law, Kim and Barry Metzger of Albion. Paternal grandmother, Eileen Stroup of Fort Wayne. A nephew and his wife, Josh and Christine Weible of Avilla; a niece and her boyfriend, Megan Metzger and Dustin Ewell of Albion. Great nieces and nephews, Gavin and Corbin Weible, and Dawson and Jennifer Ewell.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Stroup and his maternal grandparents, Retha Balyeat and William Hawk.
Funeral services for Mr. Stroup will be conducted on Thursday at 1:00 pm at Brazzell Funeral Home, Albion Chapel. Pastor Phyllis Smoot will officiate.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place after the services.
