Ruth G. Smith, 91, formerly of Hughesville, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at the Skilled Nursing Unit, Muncy.
Her husband, Willis A., died Nov. 22, 1983.
She was a dairy farmer in Rome.
She attended Bethany United Methodist Church in Hugesville [sic].
She attended a one-room school in Strawbridge.
Born Oct. 10, 1909 in Unityville, she was a daughter of Hurley E. and Stacia Mae Stackhouse Myers.
Surviving are three sisters, Harriet J. George and Eleanor L. Flick of Hughesville, and Gladys K. Sherwood of Unityville.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Edgar M., Donald L., and LaRue; and two sisters, Helen Newman and Leona Secules.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Friday at McCardy-Thomas', 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Bethany A. Wood presiding.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hills Cemetery, Hughesville.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday.
