Jacob C. Keiffer

LOCK HAVEN--Jacob C. Keiffer, 80, retired farmer and lumberman, was found dead Friday morning, Dec. 12, 1947 at the wheel of his car at his home, Lock Haven Star Route.

Mr. Keiffer was living alone and Clinton County coroner Mrs. Amella Shoemaker reported he had died Wednesday of a heart attack.

He was an active member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church at Swissdale, where he was Sunday School superintendent and trustee of the church for a number of years. Mr. Keiffer served as school director for 15 years.

He leaves nine daughters and one son, Mrs. [illegible], Loganton, Mrs. Jennie Munro, Mrs. Roy McSherry, and Mrs. Clyde Glossner, all of Dunnstown, Mrs. Ira Helblev, Flemington, Mrs. Carl Wenker, Mrs. Harold Laubscher, and John K. Keiffer of Swisdale, Mrs. Donald Weiss, Lock Haven R.D. Also surviving are 43 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Evangelical United Brethren Church Swissdale, with the Rev. W. L. Bartges [?] officiating. Burial will be made in the Swissdale Cemetery. Friends may call at funeral home 109 West Church Street, until the hour of the funeral.
