Daughter of Walter James Forsyth and Mary Elizabeth Farnham, wife of Jay William Heagy, whom she married on December 21, 1904 in Twin Brooks, Grant, South Dakota, and mother of Earl William, Andrew Scott, and Ray Walter Heagy.
In 1900, Elsie R. Forsyth, aged 12, was living in Mazeppa, Grant, South Dakota, with her parents, Walter J. Forsyth, aged 41, and Mary Forsyth, aged 33, with siblings, Sarah E. Forsyth, aged 13, Minerva L. Forsyth, aged 10, Walter S. Forsyth, aged 7 months and servant, Andrew Heagy, aged 17. Her father was shown to be a farmer.
In 1916, Elsie Heagy, aged 28, was living in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, with her husband, Jay Heagy, aged 39, and children, Earl Heagy, aged 10, Scott Heagy, aged 8, and Ray Heagy, aged 5. Also living in the household were Arthur Heagy, aged 29, and Frank Gillen, aged 25. Her husband was shown to be a farmer.
In 1921, Elisa Rose Heagy, aged 33, was living in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, with her husband, Jay William Heagy, aged 44, and children, Earl William Heagy, aged 15, Andrew Scott Heagy, aged 13, and Walter Ray Heagy, aged 10. Her husband was shown to be a mechanic.
