Notes for Kay Yvonne Kanouse

Kay Yvonne Weinert passed away on May 27, very unexpectedly. She was born November 11, 1939, in Keygo [sic] Harbor, Michigan, daughter of Ward and Ethel Kanouse. She married Dennis Weinert, November 7, 1969. Kay enjoyed living in this area because of fall colors, winters, and the wild life. She was an avid weather watcher, keeping all of the family informed of pending storms.
She is survived by her loving husband Dennis; two sons, Stanley (Renee), Dean (Janet) Raspotnik; and daughter, Yvonne (John) Bikulclus; step-son, Lee (Renee) Mallison; two step-daughters, Brenda (Mark) Cole, and Teresa (Dave) Navadel; two sisters, Grace Jankoviak and Joan (Jed) Larson; grandchildren, Bucky, Travis, Ryan, D.J. and Deana Raspotnik, Travis and Jordan Woodring, Megan Smedley, Savannah and David Navadel, Brook and Breanne Mallison; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Storms, Talon and Jacob Woodring; numerous nieces and nephews.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Ward and Ethel Kanouse, infant son, John; brothers, Ward, Roy and Wayne Kanouse.
Funeral services for Kay will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday June 1, at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington, with Father Wayne Wheeler celebrant. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday May 31, at Oak Grove Funeral Home, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again on Friday afternoon, from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
