Katherine Carr was born in Ahalahana/Kerry/Ireland. Her parents were Richard Carr and Johana Welshe. She immigrated here and married David Osborn, a civil war vet. They had 4 children:Cora,Lucy,Grace,Anna. He died and she remarried to Moses Michael Kanouse. They had one daughter Pearl. They lived on a farm at Florence/Ne.
Burial date June 8th, 1914.
She married Moses Michael Kanouse, her third husband, in Corning, Iowa on December 11th, 1884.
Their daughter Pearl Kanouse married Irving W Brown in Omaha in February of 1908.
After Kate passed away Moses lived with Pearl and her family for many years.
The 1900 census says that Catherine had seven children, six of them still living. The 1900 census also says that she immigrated to the U.S. in 1864.
