Mrs. Myrtle Bates
Mrs. Myrtle Bates, 50, died at the residence, 104 Post, Friday evening at 9 o'clock. She is survived by her husband, Elbert [sic] C. Bates; one daughter, Mrs. A. R. Stevens; one son, Morris C., both of Battle Creek; her father, Delbert Quinby [sic], of Butler township; one sister, Mrs. F. Priquet [sic] of Kalamazoo; five brothers, B. A. Quinby [sic] of Youngstown, O., John of Florida, Walter and Orville of Butler, and Cecille of Quincy township. She was a member of the First Methodist church. The funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Hebble's chapel with the Rev. Quinton S. Walker in charge. Burial will be made in Oak Hill cemetery.
[Brothers Walter, Orville, and Cecil were from father Adelbert's second marriage.]
