Lemma L. Smith
TIOGA -- Funeral services for Lemma Lois Smith, 81, of Tioga, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Beck Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Lowell Howard and the Rev. Mike Prince will officiate. Burial will be at Pilot Point Masonic Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died Thursday at HEB Nursing Home in Bedford.
She was born Feb. 9, 1894, in Durant, Okla. She married Arthur James Smith July 12, 1916, in Alrapho [sic], Okla. He preceded her in death in 1963. She was also preceded in death by one son, Clifford Harold Smith, in 1968. Mrs. Smith was a Gunter resident before moving to Tioga 45 years ago.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Hestand of McKinney, Mrs. W. W. Meyers of Argyle, Mrs. D. E. Stubbs of Sherman and Mrs. T. R. Shelton of Euless; two sons, George Smith of Englewood, Calif., and A. J. Smith of Elkton, Ore.; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Beck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
