Barry Gathright, an electrician, dies at age 28
Barry Ryan Gathright, 28, of Strong, was electrocuted Tuesday in Lake Village.
Gathright was a member of First Baptist Church and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 436.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mona Jane Bolding Gathright; a daughter, Crystal Nicole Gathright of Strong; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max D. Gathright of Strong; two brothers, Keith Gathright of Strong and Ted Gathright of Conway; a sister, Mrs. Janice Cobb of Memphis, Tenn.; and his grandmothers, Mrs. Ada Gathright of Strong and Mrs. J.W. Kyle of Haynesville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Young's Funeral Home, El Dorado, by the Revs. David Wilson and Phillip Smith. Burial will be in Strong Cemetery.

Worker, 28, Electrocuted
LAKE VILLAGE -- Barry Ryan Gathright, 28, of Strong (Union County) was electrocuted about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday while working at the Lake Chicot Pumping Plant in Lake Village, Chicot County Deputy Sheriff Herb Thompson said.
"He had the power turned off," Thompson said, "but the backfeed came in from somewhere and got him."
Survivors are his wife, Mona Jane Bolding Gathright; a daughter, Crystal Nichole Gathright of Strong; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max D. Gathright of Strong; two brothers, Keith Gathright of Strong and Ted Gathright of Conway; a sister, Janice Cobb of Memphis, and his grandmothers, Ada Gathright of Strong and Mrs. J. W. Kyle of Haynesville, La.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Young's Funeral Directors in El Dorado. Burial will be in Strong Cemetery.
