Notes for Rolland Vernent (Roll) Curtis
He is listed as Rolla or Rollo in the 1900 census, Roland B. in the 1910 census, and Raleigh in the 1920 census. Gaylon Gathright listed him as Roland V. The Jerry and Trudy Curtis web site lists him as Rolland V., and he is listed as Rolland Curtis on his mother's death certificate (he was the informant). The Carriere Family Tree lists him as Rolland Vernent Curtis, but some of the linked sources spell his middle name Venment and Vernet. He typically went by Roll. He died single, without issue. There are also differences about his birth, with some sources saying he was born in 1888 and some saying 1887. His gravestone (shown on Find A Grave, listing for Rolland Vernet Curtis) shows 1887.
