SALEM - Joshua J. Spears, 24, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday after a short battle with cancer.
He was a lifelong Salem resident. He loved reading good literature and fantasy, Japanese Anime music, and the beach. He leaves many friends behind.
Survivors include his father and mother, David E. and Edith Spears; brother, David W. Spears; and sisters, Edie Spears and Kelly Winkle; all of Salem.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 at Westgate Assembly of God in Salem. Arrangements: City View Funeral Home in Salem.
