Notes for Lula L. Cole
A transcription in Georgia Bible Records on Ancestry.com (image 443) gives her birth as 6/2/1859, but other sources, including Find A Grave and a death certificate on Ancestry.com, say 10 Jun 1858. I don't know what's going on, but the censuses fit better with the later date (1 year old in 1860, 10 in 1870, 21 in 1880), and the 1900 census (Denton Co., TX) says she was born in June 1859. In the 1860 census (Coweta Co., GA), her name looks like Valula L. Cole, and in the 1870 census (Coweta Co., GA) it looks like Lourana Shadric.

Mrs. Lula Donnelly Of Pilot Point Dead
Mrs. Lula Donnelly died Tuesday at 7:15 p. m. at her home in Pilot Point after an illness of 19 months. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and the body is being held at the Smith Funeral Home in Pilot Point.
Coming to Texas from Newnan, Ga., approximately 60 years ago, she married W. E. Donnelly at Aubrey in 1919. She is a member of the Cavalry [sic] Baptist Church, and the Rev. R. P. Davis, pastor, will conduct the funeral services. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband and one son, Fred Nance Donnelly of Albuquerque, N. M.; one sister, Mrs. John Bonner of Slocum; and one half-brother, Ernest Shadrick of Dill, Okla.
