David D. Reese, born 14 July 1906 in Glen Carbon, IL; following the death of his mother Sarah (Davis, Thackston) Reese in 1919 he lived with his step-sister Virginia N. (Thackston) and her husband Charles Drennen in Missouri, and later with his step-sister Estelle Inez (Thackston) and her husband Julius Landuyt and their three sons Burris, Max, and David, in San Francisco, CA; called “Babo” in the Thackston/Reese family, he married Margaret whom he met on the train returning injured GIs to California from service in Europe in World War II; he and Margaret had a daughter; he died 30 Nov. 1993 in Santa Clara, CA.
