MARSHALL, Mo. – Marvin Davis, 75, of Marshall, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at a hospital in Sedalia, Mo.
Born April 1, 1926, in Henderson, he was the son of James Monroe Davis and Dora Elizabeth Willis Davis Breshears. He was a mechanic and worked for Davis Lawn Equipment, retiring in 1990. He was also a retired farmer. He married Veda Duncan on May 17, 1947, lived in Saline County most of his life and attended Southside Assembly of God in Marshall.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Elaine Ahrens of Blue Springs, Mo.; two sons, Marvin L. Davis and Robert A. Davis, both of Marshall; two sisters, Gertrude Davis of Napton, Mo., and Laura Ostler of Fresno, Calif.; his mother of Marshall; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, John Davis.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Southside Assembly of God in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall with arrangements by Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Pallbearers will be Mike Davis, Joe Davis, Harold Eddy, Jimmy Willis, Charles Davis and George Neely.
