Obituary notice from the Calgary Herald, Tuesday, February 26, 1980, Page C5: Hannah Ann Long died February 24, 1980 aged 87 years, formerly of King Tower. Surviving are a son, Elliott, a step-son, Nelson; nine grandchildren, sixteen, great-grandchildren, all of Calgary; sisters and brothers in the United States. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank in August 1964; a step-son Lester in 1967; a step-daughter, Edna Mae Coleman in 1979. Services at "The Little Chapel on the Corner" (JACQUES Funeral Home) Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Internment, Mountain View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations may be made to the charity of their choice. Aunt Hannah fell while walking and broke her hip. She contracted pneumonia and died from that. Hannah was somewhat forgetful in her later years while living alone so her family put her in an adult care facility to be looked after.
