Notes for Emma Stockton Donley
Tyler Daily Courier-Times, 19 Nov 1908 (obtained from Find A Grave, listing for Emma Stockton Donley Broughton):
Mrs. James P. Broughton was born and raised in Tyler. The former Emma Donley was the daughter of the late Stockton P. Donley, associate justice of the Supreme Court of Texas, and for whom Donley County was named.
Mrs. Broughton died on November 17, 1908, of pneumonia. She was survived by her mother, her husband, James, and children. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
