Knauss Family Genealogy gives her name as Anna Catharine Transue or Transou; Carol Tillman Bullins has Anna Catharina Transou.
Both Knauss Family Genealogy and Carol Tillman Bullins give her birth place as Mutterstadt in der Pfalz. Carol Tillman Bullins additionally says that it was in the Palatinate. I took a quick look at Wikipedia, and it looks like Palatinate and Pfalz are basically the same thing. Today, Mutterstadt is in the state of Rheinland-Pfalz (known as Rhineland-Palatinate in English) in Germany.
