Augusta Sommerlatte Venghaus, was the daughter of Friedrich Sommerlatte and Johanna Eleanore Kulms Sommerlatte.
She married Wilhelm August "William" Venghaus on Dec. 29, 1882 in Frelsburg, Colorado County, Texas.
Augusta was the mother of seven children.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Augusta Venghaus were held at Columbus Funeral Home, Wednesday at 3 P. M.
Mrs Venghaus who died at Garwood, was born March 3, 1861 at Frelsburg, Texas, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sommerlatte
Her husband William Venghuaus died several years ago. She had lived in Garwood, for the past two years, and was a member of the Lutheran Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. A. H. Maretz, Mrs Walter Hennecke, and Mrs. S. E. Shoultz, and one son A. J. Venghaus.
I have a copy of Augusta Venghaus, death certificate, which indicates the spelling of her name, and verified her date and place of birth, and date and place of death. Her father was listed as Fred Sommerlote, and mother was listed as unknown.
