Notes for Abraham Kanouse Persing
Most sources just have a niddle initial, K. It's fairly obvious that the K is probably for Kanouse (i.e., he was named for his grandfather), but so far the only place I have seen this spelled out is on FamilySearch (https://ancestors.familysearch.org/en/KC3Y-G8K/abraham-kanouse-persing-1863-1948).
