FLORENCE - Mrs. Jessie Gregg Barnwell, 80, widow of Colonel Henry Frank Barnwell, died Monday morning in the Methodist Home Infirmary at Orangeburg.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Mt. Hope Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire Funeral Home.

Mrs. Barnwell was born in Florence, a daughter of the late Dr. Benjamin G. Gregg and Kate Smith Gregg. She was a graduate of Mary Baldwin College of Staunton, Va. and a graduate of New York School of Music and Art. She had lived all of her life in Florence except for the past four years of which she had lived at the Methodist Home at Orangeburg. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Orangeburg. She was a former member of All Saints Episcopal Church and Saint John's Episcopal Church in Florence.

Surviving are a son, G. Henry Barnwell of Orangeburg; a granddaughter, Mrs. Barbara Savoie of Lafayette, La.; and a grandson, Frank H. Barnwell II of Orangeburg.
