Notes for Katherine Taylor Smith
Since I changed the spelling of her mother's name from Catherine to Katherine (see her notes), I changed it here here too. She and her mother were both usually referred to as Kate.

Mrs. Kate Gregg Dies at Florence
Florence, Feb. 4--(Special)--Mrs. Kate T. S. Gregg, 76, died in a local hospital early today after an illness of about four weeks. Mrs. Gregg, well known and revered throughout this section, was the widow of B. G. Gregg.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock tomorrow morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank H. Barnwell. The Rev. Eben Taylor, pastor of the Central Methodist church here, will conduct the services, assisted by the Rev. W. S. Poyner.
Mrs. Gregg, a native of Virginia, was born in Staunton January 11, 1865. She was a daughter of the late Judge John Green Smith.
She is survived by one son, B. G. Gregg, Jr., and one daughter, Mrs. Frank H. Barnwell, both of Florence; a sister, Mrs. Fannie S. Effinger of New York City, and a brother, Herbert Smith of Staunton, Va.
