MRS. CARY N. DUNLAP
Mrs. Margaret Chrisman Dunlap, widow of Dr. Cary N. Dunlap of Middlebrook, died Sunday morning (May 31, 1959) in a nursing home here.
She was born in Rockingham County on July 4, 1868, a daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie Giles Chrisman. Mrs. Dunlap was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Dunlap Wayland, Staunton; one son, Francis M. Dunlap, Clifton Forge, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her husband, Dr. Dunlap, passed away in 1916.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning (June 2, 1959) at 11 o'clock in Bethel Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. James Sprunt, D. D. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be R. Vance McClure, Ollie Hamilton, Graham Mish, Frank A. Wright, Aubrey Smith, H. Clark Rosen, George E. Arnold and Lacy Hanger.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Charles F. Gaylord, W. W. Hamilton and deacons of Bethel Presbyterian Church.
The body is at the Fred Henry Funeral Home where the family will receive friends this evening from 7:30 until nine o'clock.
