Lou Ann Trexler Wed in National Capital
Of local interest is the wedding of Lou Ann Trexler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Trexler, 5245 Nebraska Ave., N. W., Washington, D. C., and William Monroe Wall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil D. Wall, 17 Tulip Lane, Short Hills, N. J. The bride's mother before her re-marriage was Mrs. Mark Peters. She and the late Mr. Peters owned and operated The Rosemark at 23rd and Liberty Sts. Miss Trexler, then Lou Ann Peters, attended the Swain school and Muhlenberg grade school. The two later moved to Lehighton to reside where the former Mrs. Peters married Mr. Trexler, of that community, who is now superintendent of equipment and supplies in the U. S. Post Office Department in Washington.
The marriage of Miss Trexler and Mr. Wall took place Sunday afternoon in the Woodside Methodist Church, Silver Spring, Md. Dr. Ralph D. Smith officiated.
Given in marriage by Mr. Trexler, who had adopted her, the bride was attired in a gown of pink skinner satin with leg o'mutton sleeves, tiny high collar and draped bustle. The bodice had a yoke of Duchess lace from her mother's wedding dress. She wore a Tudor cap of the lace over satin with a short sweep veil, and her flowers were arranged in an old fashioned pink nosegay.
The maid of honor, Peggy Jo Brown, wore poudre blue satin with matching poke bonnet. Other attendants were Mary Lou Bradshaw, Jane Hervey, Mrs. Barbara Nearlowe, Mrs. Virgil S. Wall. Their dresses were identically fashioned in jasmine blue.
Ushers were Robert Maxwell, Raymond Beard, Carlos Boes of Lehighton and Frederick Cornwall.
Following the reception at the home of the bride, the couple left on a wedding trip to New York City. They will reside in Providence, N. J.
The bride was graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington and from Stephens college in Columbia, Mo. She is a member of Beta Phi Gamma, social sorority, and has been employed since her graduation last May, by Remington Rand in Washington.
The bridegroom, a graduate of the University of Missouri, is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He served with the Army Air Force during the war.
