Funeral services for Mrs. Lacy TANDY, longtime resident of the Gem community before moving to New Mexico a few years ago, were conducted at the First Baptist Church in Canadian. Rev. Joe Vernon, pastor of the church, and Rev. Sanford Cole were in charge of the rites. Burial was in Canadian Cemetery under the direction of Stickley Funeral Home.

Mrs. TANDY was killed in an automobile crash near Alamosa, Colorado. She was 62 years old.

Florence M. TANDY was born in Swisher County, Texas, on June 3, 1899 She was married to Lacy TANDY, who preceded her in death in 1957. The TANDYs lived in Hemphill County from 1927 until 1943 when they moved to Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Mrs. TANDY was a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving her are one son, Walter TANDY of Boise City, Oklahoma; and three daughters, Mrs. C. B. (Mary Nan) OLIVER of El Paso; Mrs. Floyd (Thelma Flo) ROSS of San Antonio; and Mrs. Gordon (Jane) SHYLOW of Alamosa, Colorado; one sister, Mrs. Nannie BECK of Tulia, and one brother, R. H. GAYLOR of Krebs.

Another daughter, Helen Joyce TANDY of El Paso, who was injured in the same accident in which Mrs. TANDY was killed, died Wednesday night at a Pueblo, Colorado Hospital.

Pallbearers at the funeral services were Homer and Leonard SANDERS, Walton and Morris MOORE, Arleigh HOOBLER and M. H. SMITH, Jr.
