1. Patriot; furnished supplies to the Continental Army.
2. Ancestral File shows his date of death as 1 Jul 1809.
3. He was underaged in 1757 when his father died and he chose his older
brother, William, to be his guardian.
4. His wife was a daughter of Charles and Ann (Jackson) Mills.
5. Copied from pages 591-592 of the Rozendal book:
"Henry Tandy was the son of Roger and Sarah Tandy. He married Ann
Mills (b 18 Jul 1742, d 14 Dec 1810 in Orange Co., Va.), the daughter
of Charles Mills and Ann Jackson. Henry and Ann (Mills) Tandy lived in
Orange Co., Va. where had he bought land a few months before their
marriage. He furnished supplies to the Continental Army, and his name
occurs frequently in the Orange Co., Va. records."
6. Have also seen his birth place as St. Stephen's parish, Caroline
co., VA.
7. Copied from page 648, A History of Christian County, Kentucky (1930):
"Henry Tandy, son of the above, was born March 6, 1741, and married
Ann Mills on November 18, 1763, who was the daughter of Charles and
Ann Mills and was born July 18, 1742. To the above union a large family
of twelve children were born as follows: Rogers Tandy born September 3,
1764; Mary Tandy born Oc­tober 17, 1766; Nancy Tandy born October 6,
1768; Charles Tandy born November 1, 1770.; Henry Tandy born September
15, 1772; Sarah Tandy born July 3,1774; Anna Tandy born August 6,1776;
William Tandy born February 27, 1778; Mills Tandy born July 6, 1780;
Ralph Tandy born November 6,1782; Jackson Tandy born August 31,1784;
Nathaniel Tandy born July 31, 1789."
