A Wilson Family Tree

Notes for Clara Sara Wilson

From Karen Levin, she and Carroll were fraternal twins.

According to son John, several family members lived with Clara and Robert. Her mother Clara lived with them after her husband John David died, Edna lived with them for half a century until her death, Carroll lived with them after her divorce until she moved to Mississippi to be with her daughter Barbara, and Sam lived with them for almost half a century until his death. (John said that family income was tight after his father died in 1945, but that "Mom was frugal but generous.") This extended family can be seen in the 1950 census, which shows Clara S. as the head of household, with son John D., mother Clara M., and siblings Edna, Sam, and Caroll [sic] in the household.
