Notes for Bessie M. (Genevieve) Sandidge
I'm not sure what's going on here. She is listed as Bessie M. Sandidge in the 1900 census (living with her mother and sisters) and in the probate file of her grandmother, Marie (Maria) Isbell. But she is listed as Genevieve Sandidge on her death certificate and on a headstone shared with her mother and sister Louise in Ridge Park Cemetery (see FindAGrave). There is also a Genevieve Sandidge listed in the 1910 census as a student at the Academy of Sisters of Sion in Marshall, MO, but her age is given as 16; either this is a different person (seems unlikely) or they entered the wrong age. It looks like she decided to change her name from Bessie (probably Elizabeth) to Genevieve.
The name on her death certificate is Genevieve Sandidge. Cause of death was pulmonary tuberculosis. Died at 5917 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO. She is listed as single and with a last name of Sandidge, so presumably she never married. Parents are listed as M. C. Sandidge and Jennie Brown, so this is definitely her. The informant was Mrs. W. A. Reynolds of 5917 Wornall Rd., who was Genevieve's half-sister (see notes for Jane "Jennie" Brown).
