A tribute published in the pages of The Paducah Sun Democrat, Paducah, Kentucky on June 9, 1864 - Memorial obituary - entered into eternal rest Monday, June 8, 1964 - Charles B. Hill dies, rites set:
Funeral services for Charles B. Hill, 61, a farmer of the Lamont Community, who died at 5p.m. Monday of a heart attack while sitting in his front yard, will beheld at 2p.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Sturdivant and the Rev. H.L. Lax officiating. Mr. Hill was a member of McKendree Methodist Church and Massac IOOF Lodge No. 137. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minerva Hill; a daughter, Miss Alice Hill; four brothers, Maurice Hill of Grahamville, Fred Hill, Ben Hill and Son Hill, all of Heath, and two sisters, Mrs. Katie O'Bryan of Paducah and Mrs. Fred Hook of Kevil. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery at Lamont. Active pallbearers will be Stum Chambers, A.P. Herrold, Lubie Hite, Ray Morris Hines, Ernest Harris and Gene Perkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Rudy Moss, John Morris, Thomas Jones, J.D. Flowers, Bill Birdsong and Edward Harris. Friends may call at the funeral home.
