Fayette Harrison, aka Lafayette Harrison was Harriet Laphand Trewolla's third husband. He was born March 15, 1815 and died August 28, 1897 in Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky. He is buried at the Harrison family plot on the Old Fate Trewolla farm in LaMont, McCracken County, Kentucky. His first wife was Harriett Bradshaw, daughter of James Bradshaw. Harriet died on April 27, 1889 leaving land and money to her nieces and nephews. the bulk of her estate went to her husband, Fayette Harrison with the provision that he should see after her sister, Anna Marie Kelley, and should her husband died before his sister, then the estate would go to her sister. This area then became known as the Kelley Community.

History and Families of McCracken County, Kentucky 1824-1989: FAYETTE HARRISON, was born March 15, 1815 in Christian County, Kentucky. His father Robert Harrison, a Virginian by birth settled in Christian County in 1811 and married Sallie Davis April 8, 1811. Robert operated a grist millin connection with his farm and ws thus engaged until his death in 1852. Robert's wife, Sallie Davis was the daughter of James Davis and Deborah Miller of Virginia, the granddaughter of Walter Davis and Martha Cunningham of Augusta County, Virginia. Robert and Sallie had eight children. Those known are: Fayette, Sarah C., and Martha A. Harrison. Fayette worked in his father's mill and on the farm until his marriage to "Harrie" Bradshaw in October 1838. He served two years as postmaster at Pembroke, Kentucky where he also kept in partnership with a brother in a general store. In 1856 he purchased 1,000 acres of land in Ballard County and 250 acres in McCracken County, where he moved his family to reside. Fayette and Harrie had nine children, seven boys and two girls. Those known are: James H., Mary E., Gustavus, Wm. Davis (W.D.) and Robert Harrison. Fayette's wife Harrie died in 1876 and he married Mrs. Harriet L. Enders, a lady of large estate and reputed generosity. Fayette was a member of the F.&A.M. and the IOOF and served as magistrate for two years. He died in August 23, 1897. Fayette's son, W. D. Harrison born October 1844 served in the Civil War. He was married June 19, 1879 to Mallie E. Hopson of Paducah, daughter of George and Nellie Enders Hopson. Her father was a native of Trigg County, Kentucky. IN 1880 W.E. purchardsed 283 acres of land in Ballard county and moved there to rear his family. W.D. was a successful farmer, acquiring several hundred acres of land, part of church and cemetery. To this union were born eight children: Mary Emma married to Gillum Aus Chandler; Jackson Fayette married Lola Mae Elrod; Angie M. married George Cook; Lucille married Lex Ragland; Jennie, Louis, Elbridge and Antoinette. W.D., and Mallie werePresbyterians and W.D. cast his first presidential vote for H. Seymour in 1868. (submitted by Howard E.
