I got his full name from Find A Grave (listing for John Jacob Rubley). Also, his death certificate, and since the death certificate shows his father with the same name, I'm adding a Jr.
His birth place is shown as Switzerland on his death certificate, but censuses consistently show his birth place as Ohio.
The name on his death certificate (obtained from Ancestry.com, Indiana Death Certificates 1899-2011) is John Jacob Rubley. Cause of death is listed as dropsy and Bright's disease. Place of death is listed as Jamestown Twp., Steuben Co., IN. His parents are listed as John Jacob Rubley and Margaret Snider, both born in Switzerland. (However, the 1880 census shows Margaret born in Prusia [sic] and her parents born in Switzerland; 1870 census shows Margaret born in Switzerland.)
