Notes for Leigh B. Kanouse
The 1880 census lists Leo B. Kanouse and the 1900 census lists Lee B. Kanouse. Other sources spell his first name Leigh.
Roy Oehler lists a daughter Irene in the family of Reuben and Kate, I think based on the 1900 census, which lists Irene Kanouse as a grand-daughter in the houshold of Nathainel T. Bennett, along with grand-son Lee B. Kanouse. However, from Sara's Roots (http://sararoots.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html), I found that Irene was Leigh's wife.
The name on his death certificate (obtained from Ancestry.com, Michigan Death Records 1867-1950) is Leigh Kanouse. Cause of death is listed as accidental drowning. Place of death is listed as Kinderhook Twp., Branch Co., MI.
