Notes for Frederick Kanouse
Frederick must have died before his father did (26 Oct 1872) since he is not listed anywhere in Abraham's probate file. I don't think he died much before then, though, because of a copy of a photograph that I got from Glen Gathright. Written on it is that it is of the nine Kanouse brothers. They all look pretty grown up; I can't imagine that the youngest one could be younger than about 16. Aaron would have been 16 in 1870. Therefore, it should be possible to find Frederick at least in the 1850 and 1860 censuses, but I have so far not found any very good candidates.
