Notes for Luella Craddock

Her name is spelled Louella in the 1870 census and Luella in the 1880 census and "History of Saline County". (Maybe her name was Louisa Ella or Louisa Ellen?).

In the probate case file for Marie L. Isbell from Saline Co., MO, there is a document dated 14 Mar 1908 that states that Rebecca E. Craddock had died in the time since Maria died, and her only heirs were James Arch Craddock and Robert M. Craddock. Because of this, I assume the two daughters died sometime before that.

The Diary of W. S. Myers, 1890 (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~meredythspages/diary1890.htm):
Dec. 12.
Hubert and I called on Miss Lula Craddock and her cousin tonight, over at Mr. Isbell’s. Pickett, Harrison, and self tolled-the-bells for Miss Fannie Adams’ funeral this a.m.

The Diary of W. S. Myers, Miami, Saline, MO, 1891 (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~meredythspages/diary1891.htm):
Sat., Dec. 19.
24-degrees above....6:49 o’clock. This morning it was very dull. But this eve it made up for it. “Somebody” was uptown this eve looking awfully cute. Miss Lou Craddock died Thursday, in Colorado.

I don't know for sure if these diary entries are about this Luella Craddock, but it seems pretty likely. The meeting at Mr. Isbell's fits with it, too, because Mrs. Isbell was Luella's grandmother. There are also a couple of entries that mention Mary Craddock, presumably Luella's sister.
