A Wilson Family Tree

Notes for Thomas Wilson

There is a 1760 will of Samuel Wilson (Augusta County Will Book 2, pp. 355-356), in which he left his land (400 acres in the Borden Grant, in what is now Rockbridge County) to "cuzens" Thomas and Samuel Wilson. Samuel also named his brother Robert to be his executor. I'm not sure how strong this is, but Katherine Bushman thought that Samuel was our Robert's brother and the two "cuzens" were actually nephews -- Robert's sons.

Ronald Wilson's family tree on Ancestry.com (https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/173621658/person/222254590540/facts) shows him to be a descendant of Thomas Wilson, and there is a lot of information there about Thomas's family and descendants. I can't help wondering, though, if it's the right Thomas Wilson. Ron told me that there were only two Thomas Wilsons in the area at that time and the other one was older, but I don't know how to check that.
