Notes for Rhoda Davis
Brents Genealogy lists her as Rhoda Davis Cowden. According to Beatrice Henry, she was the widow of William Cowden when she married James Monroe Brents. According to Charles Cowden, a descendant of William Cowden and Rhoda Davis, William died of appendicitis at age 33 and left three living Cowden children.
