Notes for Solomon Brents
From the Brents Genealogy Ancestry World Tree page:
21 Jun 1802, he and Thomas BRUNTS as bondsman "were held and firmly bound for the sum of fifty pounds current money" as mariage bond "whereas a marriage is shortly to be had and solemnized between the above bound Solomon Brunts and Betsy McWhorter." She mad oath that she was over 21 years of age.
He was qualified as an Attorney in Wayne Co., KY.
A descendant of this line is: Phillip BRENTS of San Diego, CA (2000)
Yvonne Henson pointed out to me that there is a record on Ancestry.com for a marriage between Solomon Brents and Elizabeth Brownfield on 31 May 1838 in Cannon County, TN. I don't know for sure if it's the same Solomon, but he's the only one I know of at present.
