Notes for Peter Brents
From the Brents Genealogy Ancestry World Tree page:
Census record prior to 1850 list Peter with five children.
In 1850 he is listed as age 79, with Hester age 20, and Emiline age 24. Don't know if these were daughters or granddaughters.
From WFT Vol. 22, Tree 393:
Died at the age of 84 sometime before 1915 [Brøderbund WFT Vol. 1, Ed. 1, Tree #0618, Date of Import: 28 Jun 1996]
from Walker Brents Jr.'s research:
Father of Samuel, grandfather of JAB. Lived in Clinton County Kentucky. Surname also recorded as Brent, Brunt, and Brunts.
Cumberlland Co. Register, 24 Dec 1799, shows a Peter Brunts, Ensign, !st Battalion, 46th Regiment, Kentucky Militia. Had a son Peter Jr. which I find no further trace of except possible Civil War record, 5th Ky. Cavalry, Co. D, Private.
