A Wilson Family Tree
Notes for James Watson
According to information from Hal Wood and Bill Vincent, James Watson was one of 113 rebel prisoners imported by Captain Edward Traffard, in the ship Elizabeth and Ann, from Liverpool, England. They sailed on 14 Jan 1716 and landed at Yorktown, VA. (Hard to tell from the write-up whether the date is when they set sail or when they landed, but Bill Vincent's ahnentafel says they set sail that date.) These prisoners may have been Jacobite followers of the Pretender captured at Preston, tried in London, and transported to the colony in Virginia. Also on the same ship were James Wood and Robert and Alexander Carr.
Bill Vincent's ahnentafel says he resided in Green Spring, VA.
