Age 77. Friday, October 13, 2000 at Glenwood Care Center. Born in St. Louis, MO; a long time resident of Fayette, MO; formerly of San Diego, CA and a Channahon resident since 1998. A graduate of Fayette High School and the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. Attended Central Methodist College in Fayette, MO. Served in WWII as an Army Air Corps pilot. A self-employed entrepreneur involved in land development, communications and real estate. A member of various Masonic Lodges; a Shriner and the Scottish Rite. An avid golfer and fisherman.
Preceded by his parents; Wallace Lee and Willie Josephine (nee Givens) Talbot; one brother, Captain Wallace Lee Jr. (Nancy) Talbot (1998).
Survived by his loving wife, Marianne (nee Sage) Talbot of Channahon; one son, John G. (Carolyn) Talbot of Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Mary L. Talbot of Dripping Springs, TX and Susan L. (Crio) Rustici of Lees Summit, MO; two stepsons, Darrel L. (Joyce) Thompson of Algonquin, IL and Gary A. (Mary) Thompson of East Dundee, IL; one stepdaughter, Lynn A. ("Rusty") Carter of Springfield, MO; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one niece and numerous cousins also survive.
Funeral services for John Henry Talbot will be Monday, October 16, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at the West Chapel. Rev. Daniel Luckritz officiating. Interment Willard Grove Cemetery, Channahon, IL.
