Notes for Daniel Smith Jr.
According to the Parks manuscript, Daniel and Martha Smith had three children, who all, with their father, died in an epidemic. See the notes for brother John Smith for some thoughts on when these deaths might have occurred.

Daniel Smith, Jr., 2d of Colonel Daniel Smith and Jane Harrison Smith, born June 25, 1754; commanded a company at the battle of Point Pleasant, after his captain had been wounded. Of him nothing further is known.
