Notes for Margaret G. Kinnear
Middle initial is from 1850 census. Also in the Kinnear v. Thompson papers discussed in the notes for husband David. In "Portrait and Biographical Record of Lafayette and Saline Counties, Missouri", she is listed as Marguerite, but most sources give her name as Margaret.
Some sources say she was born in 1796, but a cemetery record at http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mosaline/1tombstones/slatercitycemetery.txt says she died on 26 Aug 1872 at age 74 yrs 6 mos. 6 ds., which would make her birth date 20 Feb 1798.
