Notes for Miles Harrison Craven
Miles' obituary states that he was a Baptist and a retired framer and had been a resident of Eudora, AR for 34 years. (Obit. in file) According to his son Lonnie, he also did some fur trapping to supplement his family's income. He was a very large man. I remember that impression at his funeral, which was the only time I saw him. The Funeral director told us that they only has one casket that was long enough for him to fit in.
Sarah and Miles eloped on a mule to get married. She was 15 years old. He was a farmer and trapper. They lived most of their married life in Eudora, AR. They were Baptist. Together they bore 10 children, 3 dieing in childhood. There were 17 grandchildren and as of April 14 1983, there 27 great grandchildren. Miles lived to be 83 yrs, 7mo and 4 days old and Sarah lived to be 92 yrs, 9 mo and 26 days.
