Funeral services for B.K. Gathright, 85, of Sterlington, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 23, 2012, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Chad Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Gathright died on February 20, 2012, after a lengthy illness. Born March 11, 1926, in Homer, LA, he lived in Sterlington, LA since 1953. He retired from IMC.
Mr. Gathright was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Otha Gathright; brothers, Robert and Durwood; and sisters, Esma English, Faye English, and Edna Fountain.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Gathright; three sons, Larry Gathright and spouse Mona Gathright, Raymond Gathright and spouse Denise Gathright, and Randy Gathright; daughter, Carolyn Gathright Northcutt; seven grandchildren, Robin Reynolds, Amanda Gathright, Chad Hargon, Michael Northcutt, Brandon Northcutt, Ashley Northcutt, and Tyler LaFollette; one great granddaughter, Annelise Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Rheo Stewart, Michael Northcutt, Brandon Northcutt, Wayne Donaldson, John English, and Chad Hargon.
