James Henry was listed in the 1860 census in Union Co., Ark.
Gaylon Gathright listed James Henry with Mary Newsome as mother. Only child listed was P.D. It did also say that there were 11 children

[GKNOX]- "Jimmy Gathright was a Baptist Preacher and taught Old Harp singing Schools. My grandfather Eddie, the oldest son said, 'None of the peach trees near our back door ever bore fruit, my father believed in peach-tree-tea seasoned with elbow grease.' These children grew up on a farm and told a lot of interesting things that seem unbelievable in our generation. Stories about wild cats, panthers and even bears in their barn. They seemed to be in constant danger by Jimmy Gathright was a great man of prayer. ..."
