LEWISTOWN - Carol J. Kline, 81, of Belleville, died at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Ohesson Manor, Lewistown.
Born Jan. 6, 1931, in Steubenville, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Martha Mary (Zielon) Mitchell. Her husband, Dr. William F. Kline, whom she married on June 12, 1953, survives. Surviving are: children, Stephen Kline, of Mechanicsburg, Mary Kaye and husband, Michael, of Santa Cruz, Calif., Amy E. A. Brewer and husband, Robert, of Bridgeton, N.J., and Heidi Kline and partner, Carlos Ferreira, of San Francisco; and grandchildren, Jason Kaye, Christopher Kaye, Samantha Brewer and Wendy Jo Brewer. She was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Mitchell. Carol was a music teacher in various public schools and taught violin at her home. She [was] the junior and senior choir director at West Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church, Belleville, and was a violinist with Nittany Valley Symphony. She received her bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She was an avid gardener. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with the Rev. Mike Sigler officiating. Interment will be held in Machpelah Cemetery, Belleville. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Monday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Nittany Valley Symphony, P.O. Box 1375, State College, PA 16804.
