A Wilson Family Tree

Notes for Janice Marie Weber

Wilson County News, 17 Nov 2020 (obtained from https://www.wilsoncountynews.com/articles/janice-marie-weber-green-2/):

Janice Marie Weber Green, 77, departed this life on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020. Janice was born to Cyril and Bernadette Weber in San Antonio, Texas, on Oct. 3, 1943.

She graduated from Mission High School in 1961, and then attended Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) in San Antonio. While attending OLLU, she met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Green, while attending a social function at St. Mary’s University. She married Robert Green on Oct. 3, 1964, in Mission. Their first year was spent in West Texas at Comstock before moving to Santa Rosa. In 1967 they moved to Poth, where they settled and raised their children.

Janice is now free of the pains and trials of this life and happily tending the gardens of heaven with her family and friends who have gone before her. Most people will remember Janice for her giving nature, beautiful smile, kind heart, and her devotion to her family, community, and her faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Don Weber and Arthur Weber.

Janice is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bob; daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Kevin Blackshear; sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Laurie Green and Kevin and Angie Green; her beloved grandchildren, Charlotte Palermo and husband Johnny, Matthew Yeager and wife Morgan, James Yeager and fiancée Gracie Early, Gavin McIntosh and wife Sarah, Alyssa Green, and Hailey Green; her great-grandson, Hunter Palermo; her brother, Jerome Weber and wife Patricia; sister Judi Prukop and husband Wallace; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Although Janice has gone home, we know that we will be seeing her again. She will continue to live in all those who knew her; in the memories we have, all the wisdom she shared, through all the things she taught us, as well as those things we have passed on to others, said her family. If asked, she would tell you that her goal in life was to live life to the fullest, love deeply, and to learn and experience all she could, so that when she leaves this world, it’s a better place because she had lived. All those lucky enough to have known her as a teacher, a friend, a sister, an aunt, a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, and most importantly as a wife, will certainly tell you that their life is so much better because she had lived.

Visitation was held on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 9:30 a.m. with a rosary at 10:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Poth.

A funeral Mass was held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the church.
Interment followed in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery in Poth.
