Zálužice has an upside-down caret over the second z.
Also known as Nagy Zalurska, Hungary. (Probably Czechoslovakia was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire at the time.)

Originally spelled Rovnak, with a tilde or something over the n. Added the y when he moved to the US.


The 1920 census says he immigrated in 1904, the 1930 census says 1905.


The name on his death certificate is George Rovnyak Jr. Cause of death was myocardial degeneration (?) due to hypertension. Place of death is given as Ford City, Armstrong Co., PA. Parents' names are given as George Rovnyak Sr. and Mary Grajcar.
