A Wilson Family Tree

Notes for Walter Frank James Jr.

From the Albuquerque Journal, 29 Aug 1999:

Walter F. James Jr., 71, a resident of Moriarty, passed away August 20, 1999, at the home of his eldest daughter, Lynette Walton in Mesa, AZ. Walt was born in Cimarron, NM on November 22, 1927, to Walter and Vida (Adams) James, and lived most of his life in New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his wife of many years, Gwen (Bynon) James. In addition to Lynette Walton, he is survived by his children, Bonnie of Galesville, WI, Trudy of WilkesBarre, PA, Alice of Washington, Richard and Steve, both of Phelan, GA, Debbie of Indiana, Vickie and Ellen, both of Albuquerque and Kathy of Perth, Australia; 30 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also his sister and brother-in-law, Marliette and Jesse Beard of Farmington, NM. He served in the Navy in the Pacific from 1943 through 1946, and returned to make his home in Albuquerque where he lived most of his life. He was employed as a Master welder and worked for many years for Border Construction Co. He was greatly loved by his large family and will be sorely missed. Services will be held on Monday, August 30, at McGee Memorial Chapel, 1320 Luisa Street, Santa Fe, NM (Ph. #983-9151), with burial to follow at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.

Phillip Bynon's Web site doesn't list any children for Walter and Gwendolyn. Phillip does list children named Alice, Deborah, Vicky, and Ellen as children of Gwendolyn from a previous marriage; perhaps the others were from an earlier marriage of Walter.
