DECEMBER 18, 1937 - NOVEMBER 17, 2015
Cora Jane Fenner Fischer, age 77, passed away on November 17, 2015, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Karnes City, Texas on December 18, 1937 to Otto and Elise (Lange) Fenner. Cora attended Karnes City High School and was baptized, confirmed and married in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Karnes City, Texas. She worked for many different banks, including Frost, National Bank of Commerce and Federal Reserve Bank. Her last and most enjoyable employment was with the Hermann Sons. Cora was an active member of Highland Park Lutheran Church. She was an avid square dancer and passionate about butterflies. Cora had a great sense of humor to the end. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Elise Fenner, and her brother, Leroy Fenner. Cora is survived by her children, Richard Fischer & wife Melissa, Phillip Fischer & fiancée Debra Bazalli, and Mark Fischer & wife Fiona; grandchildren, Jennifer Creekmore & husband Jeff, Brittany Fischer, Josephine Fischer, Julia Fischer, William Fischer, and Karen Fischer; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Creekmore and Jocelyn Creekmore; sister, Florine Winkler of Beeville, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank her best friend and co-worker Joey Fisher and her caretakers Pat and Willie Barnes & Cathy Cantu. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2015 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
