Notes for Friedrich (Fritz) Sommerlatte
Have seen name spelled Sommerlate, Sommerlatte, and Sommerlotte.

Friedrich Sommerlatte, was the son of Christoph August and Johanne "Jetzschmann" Sommerlatte.
He was born in Worlitz-Anhalt Dessau, Prussia. Friedrich departed his homeland on 7 April 1855, on the sailing ship Weser, and arrived in the Port of Galveston, on 3 June 1855.
On Feb. 7, 1858, he married Johanna Eleanore Kulms, in Colorado County, Texas. The couple were the parent's of 10 children, 3 of which died as infants, with no records that have been found as to the dates of their deaths, but church records in Colorado County, Texas, recorded their baptism.
After the death of his first wife in 1886, he married a widow named Christina "Maas" Litzmann, there is no indication that Friedrich had any children with Christina.
I have not been able to locate a exact place of Interment for Friedrich or Johanna, but it is suspected that the couple are interned in the Sommerlatte Cemetery near Frelsburg, Colorado County, Texas.
Recorded information in Colorado County, indicates that there are no headstones or markers of any kind of those that may be interned in the Sommerlatte Cemetery.
